We are not a bulk-billing practice. Charging a consultation fee allows our optometrists to focus on giving you high-quality care. This means we can offer longer and more thorough appointments (45 minutes for your first visit) to make sure you get the right outcome. We will help claim your Medicare rebate on the day of your appointment. Please call us if you have any questions about our fee schedule. Private health insurance doesn't cover optometry appointments. We accept all health funds when claiming for glasses or contact lenses.
Our optometrists see children of all ages. No age is too young.
As a minimum we recommend a first eye test before starting school. However, if you have any concerns about your child's eyes or vision, please get in touch.
Testing a child's eyes is different from an adult's. Our optometrists use different specialised tools and techniques to make sure they get the right information. A bit of extra experience goes a long way, too.
Depending on your prescription we can make glasses for you in our onsite workshop the same day you see the optometrist. Otherwise lenses typically take 7–10 working days to be made.
Absolutely. Almost any prescription is available as sunglasses. Prescription sunnies are also a great way to look after your eye health by minimising harmful UV light. We can also make prescription safety glasses, prescription swimming goggles, and sports glasses.
Our optometrists will be able to assess and determine the cause of these issues. They can then prescribe lenses that will improve your computer vision and help with your work ergonomics.
Yes. Almost anyone can wear contact lenses. Our optometrist Dr Nicole Ferlewicz OD has the skill and experience to help you become a successful contact lens wearer. We offer disposable contact lenses, rigid (RGP) lenses, and orthokeratology (OrthoK).
No, you don't need a referral to see us. If you have any reports or referrals from other healthcare providers you see please bring them to your appointment as it helps our optometrists better understand your needs.
Yes. Our optometrist Dr Geoff Demare OD manages dry eye using various approaches including OptiLight IPL treatments.
We are open Monday–Friday by appointment. Whether you're seeing us for an eye health review or to select a new pair of frames, making an appointment lets us know when you're coming so we're ready to help.
